GRACE NOTE AWARDS

Four Grace Note Awards go to chamber  music

Our annual Grace Note Awards were presented Sunday, Feb. 5, to four chamber music groups for their leadership in bringing chamber musicians from across the world to this area to join local musicians in performing classical music written for smaller ensembles of players, making this great musical genre accessible in north Texas.

Grace Note Awards – crystal blocks with tiny grace notes – were designed as an award to groups providing something “extra” and needed (like a grace note in music).  NPOI has presented these annually since 2009.

Accepting their awards at the orchestra’s “Sundays at the Symphony” concert at the Irving Arts Center were:

The Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth, award accepted by their president, Lenna Recer, and artistic director, Gary Levinson.

Award received by Rachel  Assi. executive director for Fine Arts Chamber Players.

received for Chamber Music International by Jessica Ho, their executive director.

... Here they are at their welcome table, to meet and talk with audience members before the concert and at intermission.

Dallas Chamber Music Society's Sher Briggs, executive director, accepting their award.
